For the second straight week Red Sox right handed prospects Mike Augliera and Jamie Callahan won their respective league's Pitcher of the Week honors for the period of July 29-August 5.
This past period he made one start in Lynchburg, earning the win on the heels of seven scoreless, one-hit innings of work on Saturday.
He faced only two batters over the minimum, striking out four and forcing seven ground outs.
Augliera, who has made 21 starts this season, has walked just one batter in each of his last three starts and has logged 113 innings, third most of any pitcher in the Boston organization.
As he watched from the dugout, the perfect game was snapped in the bottom of the ninth inning with one out on a single by Cody Dent, the son of former New York Yankee thorn Bucky.
Regardless, the Spinners were victorious as Callahan fanned nine via strikeout for his third win of the season.
Callahan has struck out 17 batters over his last two starts and is averaging 8.6 strikeouts-per-nine innings to go along with a 1.01 WHIP.
Both pitchers were drafted by Boston in 2012, with Callahan going number 87 overall in the second round and Augliera being selected with the 181st overall pick in the fifth round.
