Earlier on Monday our very own Pete Abraham tossed out the following tweet...

Indeed Bogaerts, the Red Sox top Minor League prospect, is blazing hot right now, batting .471 with 16 hits (nine for extra-bases) and 11 RBIs in his last ten games.

So @PeteAbe is probably right about that promotion coming in the near future, especially with Jose Iglesias now sticking with the big club.

The question is how soon will it be before the 20-year-old makes the leap to the doorstep level of Triple-A?

Now is most definitely the time to catch him as a Sea Dog and we want to give you the opportunity to do just that…if in fact he makes it to the weekend.

We are going to give you a chance to win two tickets to this Saturday’s Portland Sea Dogs game versus the Akron Aeros (Cleveland Indians) at Hadlock Field at 6:00 p.m.

Before the Aeros hit town the Sea Dogs will play a four game series against the Erie SeaWolves (Detroit Tigers) and all you have to do is tell us how many total hits and runs batted in you think Bogaerts will have in the series.

It's pretty simple really, just send an email to cforde@globe.com, include your full name and the total number of hits and total number of RBIs. Put 'Tickets' in the subject field and hit send...that's it!

In the case of a tie all winning entries will be placed into a random drawing and one winner from that group will be chosen. If no one has the exact numbers correct, we will select the closest to the final statistics. Winner will be notified by email on Friday.

All entries must be received prior to the start of Portland’s 6:00 p.m. doubleheader on Tuesday. If entries are received after the first pitch of game one on Tuesday, they will be deemed ineligible.

We cannot guarantee how many games Bogaerts will appear in during the series versus Erie or if he will appear in Saturday’s game, but it's worth a shot for some free baseball, right?!

Only one entry per email address and name.
