Futures_at_Fenway_2013_7khdao17_c0ao1f3h.jpgOn Monday the Boston Red Sox announced details for the eighth annual Futures at Fenway event, featuring future stars of the franchise at the friendly confines of Fenway Park on Saturday, July 27th at 12:00 p.m.

For the first time since it's inception the day will feature only one game, this time between the Harrisburg Senators and Boston's Double-A affiliate the Portland Sea Dogs.

This event offers a unique experience for fans and players alike.

The Red Sox farmhands get the opportunity to play at the most historic park in the game in advance of their arrival in the big leagues while spectators get to see the team's future players on their home turf at a low cost.

The Portland roster currently features top prospects Xander Bogaerts, Matt Barnes, Anthony Ranaudo and Christian Vasquez.

There will be numerous additional activities throughout the day, including a family festival/wellness expo in the Big Concourse as well as a post-game autograph session with the players and concert featuring Kidz Bop Kidz.

Also, Fenway Park will open its gates to dogs, giving fans the chance to bring their canine best buds out for a great day of baseball in designated sections.

Game time is set for noon with the gates of Fenway opening up to fans at 11 a.m.

Tickets range from $5-$30 and will go on sale Wednesday, May 22nd at noon.
