NOTES: In Portland John Lackey makes his first rehab start since straining his right bicep in his first start of the season with Boston on April 7th. He is scheduled to throw 4 innings or 65 pitches. The Sea Dogs, winners of four of their last five, will look to extend a three game winning streak…If it wasn’t for the 5 walks in his first start of the season, Terry Doyle’s WHIP would be near non-existent. At 0.65, it is still the fourth best WHIP in the International League, having yielded just 5 hits over 18 1/3 innings. He tossed 5 innings of 2-hit ball in a no decision against Rochester back on April 13th…Mike McCarthy is scheduled to get his first start of the season for Salem tonight. He has allowed at least a run in his 3 relief appearances with his last action coming back on April 16th when he allowed a run on four hits in 3 innings of work. Last season McCarthy started 4 games for Salem.
