at Buffalo Bisons – Claudio Vargas (2-0, 1.59 ERA, 13 Ks)

7:05 p.m.
Portland Sea Dogs – Matt Barnes (1-0, 7.71 ERA, 11 Ks)

Lynchburg Hillcats – David Peterson (0-2, 3.07 ERA, 12 Ks)
at Salem Red Sox – William Cuevas (1-1, 6.39 ERA, 15 Ks)

Delmarva Shorebirds – Josh Hader (1-1, 2.25 ERA, 12 Ks)
at Greenville Drive – Justin Haley (0-2, 2.93 ERA, 19 Ks)

NOTES: After a split of a doubleheader in Buffalo yesterday the PawSox (13-8) are looking to earn a split of both their four game series with the Bisons and their eight-game road trip. Chris Hernandez hits the hill for Pawtucket looking to halt a personal two-game losing streak. The PawSox return home for eight games starting tomorrow when Jackie Bradley Jr. makes his McCoy Stadium debut…After two tough outings to begin the season, top pitching prospect Matt Barnes steadied himself last time out, striking out 7 and allowing only 1 run in 6 innings versus New Britain. He will look to build on that momentum as he continues to get a feel for Double-A ball. The Sea Dogs (11-8) will look to get back on the winning track after having their season-high six game win streak snapped on Thursday night… Much like Barnes, William Cuevas got off on the wrong foot to start the season, allowing 8 runs in his debut. In his two starts since he has been a rock for Salem, going 5 innings in each, allowing only a run, 3 hits and 2 walks in that span. The Salem Sox (10-9) are in the midst of a three game winning streak and will face a Lynchburg team that they swept for three on the road just last weekend…Greenville’s Justin Haley seems to have finally found his form. After walking 16 batters in his first three appearances, he allowed only one free pass against Lexington last Saturday. In his prior start on April 15th against West Virginia, Haley was removed from the game after only 3 2/3 innings because he had surrendered 6 walks, despite not allowing a hit. In 15 1/3 innings of work this season he has allowed only 6 hits, while doing a decent job of not allowing those walks to cost him, having allowed only 5 earned runs. The Drive (8-13) are 2-12 since sweeping a double header against Lexington back on April 12th.

New England teams
6:35 p.m.
Richmond Flying Squirrels – Ryan Bradley (0-2, 8.74 ERA, 4 Ks)
at New Britain Rock Cats – Logan Darnell (1-1, 2.21 ERA, 16 Ks)

7:05 p.m.
New Hampshire Fisher Cats – Marcus Walden (0-3, 3.98 ERA, 8 Ks)
at Reading Fightin’ Phils – Tom Cochran (0-1, 6.23 ERA, 2 Ks)

NOTES: After finishing three games in a 20-hour span in New Hampshire, the Rock Cats (10-10) head home to New Britain to start a three game series with Richmond. Logan Darnell is tonight’s starter for the home team, fresh off a tough outing against Portland last Saturday. The Sea Dogs popped him for 7 hits and New Britain took a 7-1 loss that day. Otherwise, Darnell has been good, having allowing only 2 runs in his first 15 2/3 innings…The Fisher Cats (9-12) hit the road and first stop is Reading with Marcus Walden on the hill. The righty from Fresno has allowed a league high 35 hits over 20 1/3 innings, leading to a 1.97 WHIP despite allowing only 5 base-on-balls. Proof that sometimes having solid command is not as good as having solid location.
