Holman Stadium.jpgThe Futures Collegiate Baseball League will hold their inaugural All-Star game this Thursday night at Nashua’s Holman Stadium. The event will pit the Original 4 teams - Martha’s Vineyard, Torrington, Seacoast, and Nashua - that helped launch the fledgling league a year ago, against the New 5 teams - Pittsfield, Wachusett, North Shore, Old Orchard Beach, and Brockton - that have helped expand the league this season.

First pitch is set for 7:15 p.m., but there are a range of activities and contests prior to game time that will showcase the All-Star participants and other selected players from across the league.

Things kick off at 3:30 p.m. with an MLB Scout Day that will feature accuracy throwing and 60-yard dash events to be held for Major League Baseball scouts in attendance.

From 4:25-5:55 p.m. the teams will alternate between fielding and batting practices before the grounds crew spruces things up for the hitting competition that is set to kick off at 6:35 p.m.

Tickets to the event are only $5.00 and can be purchased here or at the ball park. You can view a full schedule of the day’s events here.
