Whitehouse Field.jpgAfter three consecutive years at Fenway Park the latest installment of the Cape Cod Baseball League’s All-Star game returns to local grounds with Harwich’s Whitehouse Field playing host to the Mid-Summer Classic this Saturday.

The gates open to the public at 2:00 p.m. when the teams begin rounds of batting and fielding practices, with autograph sessions kicking off at 3:40 p.m. The always popular home run derby will begin at 5:00 p.m. and first pitch is set for 6:05 p.m.

Tickets are $5.00 and can be purchased at any of the ten league ball fields. You can view a full schedule of the days’ events here.

For those unable to attend the festivities, the game will have a television broadcast on Fox College Sports (check your local listings) with Eric Frede and CCBL Hall of Famer Lou Merloni calling the game.

Locally you can catch the radio broadcast, with Dan D’Uva and Kevin McGonigle calling the action, on WCAI and Cape and the islands NPR stations (90.1, 91.1 and 94.3 FM).
