The Bruins lost their playoff series to the Montreal Canadiens in seven games. Shawn Thornton infamously squirted water on Montreal's P.K. Subban at the tail end of Boston's win in Game 5.
The incident cost Thornton more than $2,800 and turned out to be his final moment of notoriety with the Bruins. For many of the Bruins and their fans, it's a moment they would like to forget. But not everyone feels that way.
In the days before before the Bruins announced that Thornton would not be with the team next season, East Bridgewater tattoo artist Charlie Robbins of Sacred Addition Tattoos crafted this incredible tribute to Thornton's moment of liquidity on the right arm of David Green.
The photos were posted by Green on Instagram on June 15 and the YouTube video is courtesy of Robbins a day later.
An epic piece of ink art no matter where Thornton ends up playing.
