Liz Norden (holding check in center) was the big winner Friday in the Unstoppable Mom contest on "Live With Kelly & Michael", hosted by Michael Strahan, far left, and Kelly Ripa.

Liz Norden of Stoneham was named the winner of “Live With Kelly & Michael's" Unstoppable Mom contest on Friday. She was one of four finalists for the award, which carries a $100,000 first prize. Norden's was named as the winner at the end of Friday's show.

She has has five children, two of whom each lost a leg in the Boston Marathon bombings. Norden told host Kelly Ripa that she will use some of the money to start a nonprofit group called "A Leg for Life" in honor of the losses suffered by J.P. and Paul Norden.

"I didn't expect this," she said. Nothing can take away from the pain and trauma her family has endured. But this was a nationwide vote and just another reminder that those who survived that horrible day with injuries and those who were lost will never, ever be forgotten.

Boston Strong for sure. Forever.

Here is her story.
