If you want to be trusted, be honest. If you want to be honest, be true. If you want be true, be yourself. 💯— Alfonzo Dennard (@FonzieDennard15) March 4, 2014
Patriots cornerback Alfonzo Dennard began a 60-day jail sentence in Nebraska on Saturday. But that didn't stop someone from using his Twitter account to post some positive and uplifting messages, purportedly from behind bars.
Dennard's verified Twitter feed lit up with several posts and retweets on Tuesday morning. However, the posts are not likely from Dennard himself. A spokesperson for the Lancaster County Correctional Facility in Lincoln, Neb., told the OBF Blog Tuesday that inmates housed inside the facility are not allowed internet access. They can speak over the phone to outsiders via a pre-paid account that can be set up through the facility.
Whomever was running Dennard's account had some happy thoughts for his more-than 46,000 followers.

Inmates who are on work release outside the facility are free to go on line, however if they have available equipment, the spokesperson said. It wasn't know if Dennard was on release at the time the posts were made.
His sentence, which originally was 30 days, was extended after he violated his parole with a DUI arrest last summer. Dennard, 24, had been on probation for an assault on a police officer after his arrest in April 2012.
No matter who is manning Dennard's Twitter feed these days, it's doubtful he's living as large in jail as these guys did:
[Mild NSFW language.]
"Vinnie, don't put too many onions in the sauce."
"Medium rare ... hmm, an aristocrat."
"Red wine ... now we can eat."
The lines are endless.
Too bad the late Henry Hill didn't have a Twitter feed back in the day.
