Not every Red Sox fan has been completely won over with the beards sported by Team Chemistry this season.
Grandmother Pat Seftel, a 76-year-old retired social worker and nurse, is a lifelong Red Sox who now spends her time between upstate New York and Sarasota, Fla. Her son, film maker Josh Seftel, bought his mom an iPad and has turned their face-time chats into an You Tube series called "My Mom on Movies."
The series has since evolved into an "intimate and humorous documentation of how, after 45 years, a mother and son discovered a new way of relating to one another," according to Seftel's production company.
This week's topic centered around the Red Sox and their beards.
"The men don't look too handsome, they all look like ... rednecks," Pat Seftel says. "They pull each others beards, when come back to the dugout ... it's so boy like.'
"He has a pretty big beard. It doesn't look clean," she added. "I think I were a man, and I was eating and had one of those beards, I can see like an egg sticking to it ... toast dropping into it like bird's nest."
Now just imagine what we couldn't see?
