The Patriots could use a morale boost after Thursday night's 40-9 preseason game capitulation to the Lions in Detroit.
And when it comes to providing uplifting words - the Patriots haven plenty of firepower.
Brady stopped by the University of Michigan Thursday to inspire this year's version of the Michigan football team.
Here's what Brady had to say:
His speech was pretty solid. No doubt the Wolverines were ready to run through a few walls after listening to Brady. Michigan went 8-5 last season and lost all-world QB Dennard Robinson to the NFL.
[Well. almost, since he's playing in Jacksonville.]
Tebow delivered several emotional diatribes during his days at Florida. If you could talk your way into Canton, Tebow would be voted in unanimously in his first year of eligibility.
His oratorical high point came from the podium during a press conference after Florida's 31-30 loss to Ole Miss on Sept. 27, 2008.
Those words have been immortalized on a plaque outside Ben Hill Griffin Stadium in Gainesville, Fla., and hang about 15 feet from where Aaron Hernandez's All-America brick used to be.
Tebow kept his word - no surprise there - and Florida didn't lose another game en route to the BCS championship.
Tebow's oratory skills were also on display during the halftime of Florida's 24-14 win over Oklahoma in that 2009 BCS title game. The score was tied at 7-7 when this happened:
These 10-minutes of Tebow-gasms come from the 2011 season when he was mic'd up during the Broncos' win over the Bears.
[We skipped right to the good stuff.]
While Brady's never been video-taped signing singing contemporary Christian music during his pre-game warm-ups, he has been spotted lifting three Super Bowl trophies, not to mention leaving the field with the lead in Super Bowl XLII with less than two minutes to play and with the lead in Super Bowl XLVI with less than four minutes remaining.
That's pretty awesome, too.
