Peyton Manning landed in Denver. Tim Tebow appears headed for the New York Jets. But before Tebow had a chance to lance in the Big Apple, "Tebowie" was back Tuesday night in New York. The musical mixture of David Bowie and the soon-to-be-former Broncos' QB was reincarnated by Jimmy Fallon on NBC's "Late Night." Here's the clip via NBC and and Mediaite.

This time "Tebowie" remixed Bowie's "Ziggy Stardust" and lamented that Tebow "lost to New England ... guess God's a Brady fan." Tebowie had a sad tale to sing. "Peyton was a Colt ... spent a year on the bench. While he was sitting, Tim Tebow was winning. Tebowing was the craze. Everything was going great. Then came John Elway ... They replaced him with Peyton. Tebow got screwed in the back door and he's a virgin no more." Tebowie also vowed revenge for the very forgiving QB. "Tebow prayed to God to spite the Mannings" and help him find a job with the Giants. He was close on that one. Finally adding: "Like his Messiah, his career is dead but his career will rise again."

Bowie and Tebow originally become one in January when Fallon raided the 1970's section of the NBC wardrobe department, strapped on the platform boots and tore up the lyrics to Bowie's "Space Oddity," Among the gems from that performance, which aired during the week prior to New England's 45-10 playoff rout of the Broncos: “Tim Tebow to Jesus Christ (as opposed to Bowie's "Ground control to Major Tom") ... can't win by myself but with your help I might." He later sang: "This is Jesus Christ to Tim Tebow, please leave me alone ... I hear that you play New England next week. Dude you're on your own. Brady is too good and I've got better things to do." As we know, God sided with his nephew Tom in that game but took off Super Bowl Sunday.

Tebow had no hard feelings toward Fallon (no surprise there) as he appeared on Fallon's show on Feb. 1 during his week of pre-Super Bowl broadcasts from Indianapolis.
