Video: Gerald Green dunks one for the ages
Gerald Green knows how to dunk. He came to the Celtics right out of high school in the 2005 NBA draft. He went on to win the NBA slam-dunk contest in 2007 - back when the contest actually meant something. Among those he defeated that year was Dwight Howard - a year before Howard found Superman cape - and Nate Robinson - who had won the event in 2006 and would win it again by dunking over Howard in 2009. The elevation on this dunk that game Saturday night against Houston considering it was during an actual game is pretty sweet. How many people have to look down to check out the rim? Green is playing under his second straight 10-day contract with the New Jersey Nets. He finished with 26 points Saturday in a 112-106 loss. Maybe this will help him stay onboard with the Nets until the end of the season. He was part of the Al Jefferson deal that brought Kevin Garnett to Boston in 2007. Here's a look at some of his other best dunks.
