2010 FIBA World Championship of basketball

Is there any doubt left that Kevin Durant should have been the number one pick in the NBA draft a few years ago? KD turned the FIBA World Championship of basketball in Turkey into a scoring clinic as the US blazed through the bracket and notched their first world championship in the sport since 1994. This was supposedly the Americans' so-called "b" team, with none of the stars from the 2008 Beijing gold medal team on the roster in Istanbul, but there was very little visible drop off in results. But the rest of the world is catching up quickly. The tournament emphasized how international the NBA has become with almost every team featuring at least one player drawing an NBA paycheck.
