It's easy (and popular) to write off the Celtics next season. They're old. Way old. Too old to win a championship. Plus the Miami Heat are going to be, like, way too good. That's the popular sentiment, spoon-fed to the masses by three self-branded great players and an agreeable television network. But overshadowed by the Heat's self-congratulatory infomercial are the defending Eastern and Western Conference champions. The Lakers proved they were the best team in basketball in June. The Celtics were 24 minutes (or a couple of torn knee ligaments) away from claiming that crown. With almost all of their key pieces back, the Celtics and Lakers should again be in contention. So should Miami. With that, we take a look at how the Celtics, Lakers, and Heat stack up against each other next season.
