LOS ANGELES -- The Celtics have now dropped five straight games, including Wednesday's embarrassing 129-98 loss to the Denver Nuggets on Tuesday that prompted some choice comments from forward Gerald Wallace, who said the Celtics are "all talk." They will have a chance to snap their losing streak against the shorthanded Clippers, who are missing Chris Paul, who is expected to miss six weeks with a separated right shoulder.

Brad Stevens was waiting until the final moments to announce his starting lineup and a candidate could be Kris Humphries over Brandon Bass at power forward. Stay tuned.

Pregame notes:

• Jared Sullinger now has five flagrant foul points after collecting two in a 23-second period Tuesday in Denver. If Sullinger picks up any additional flagrant fouls, he could serve a 1-game suspension (for a flagrant 1) or 2-game suspension for (a flagrant 2).

• Jerryd Bayless was 3-for-11 shooting with 6 points, 3 assists and 3 steals in his Celtics debut and Stevens said Bayless was trying to be too unselfish.

• Clippers coach Doc Rivers said injured guard J.J. Redick (broken hand) is getting closer to returning, which would move Jamal Crawford back to his more natural sixth-man position.

• The Celtics will take Thursday off and fly to San Francisco in preparation for a Friday game against the Golden State Warriors, who had their 10-game win streak snapped Wednesday at Brooklyn.
