CHARLOTTE -- The Celtics, coming off their 94-87 comeback victory over the Atlanta Hawks, are in Charlotte to face the improving Bobcats, who enter Monday tied for the fifth-best record in the Eastern Conference. The Bobcats rolled into Milwaukee and dusted the Bucks 96-72 on Saturday with five players scoring in double figures.

The Celtics again will start Jared Sullinger at center and Brandon Bass at power forward. That undersized lineup was able to out-rebound the Hawks on Saturday.

Pregame notes:

• Al Jefferson has played in the past two games after missing four games with a bone bruise in his right ankle. Jefferson responded with 19 points and seven rebounds in Charlotte's 97-72 win at Milwaukee on Saturday. Jefferson signed a three-year, $41 million deal in the offseason.

• Former Brookline High School and UConn product Jeff Adrien has collected 10 rebounds in two of his past three games and has three double-figure rebounding games in limited minutes this season. Adrien is averaging 5.6 rebounds in just 15.3 minutes per game.

• The Celtics will return home tonight and practice Tuesday before hosting the Memphis Grizzlies on Wednesday.

• Keith Bogans did not make the trip to Charlotte and remains out with an undisclosed illness. He has played in just two games this season.
