WALTHAM -- Weeks ago, Celtics president of basketball operations Danny Ainge noted that forward Paul Pierce was craning his neck more often than normal, as if Pierce's neck was injured.
Pierce on Thursday talked in-depth about the pain he's feeling and said that pain is probably related to his up-and-down play this season.
"It’s happened a lot more than normally, whether it be in practice or in a game, but it's something I'll deal with after the season," Pierce said.
He added, "I’m about as healthy as I’m probably going to be in the regular season right now."
Pierce is averaging 18.5 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 4.5 assists this season.
