The one combo Doc Rivers can't stop raving about is Delonte West and Nate Robinson and they came through tonight. Robinson scored seven of his team-high 13 points in the fourth quarter, and West came up with a huge block on Jarrett Jack to seal the game. The Celtics, 3-0, are spotless through the preseason.
Third quarter, 6:31, Celtics 56, Raptors 56: Shaq's got a game high 11 points on 4 of 6 shooting. He caught a nasty one-handed oop from Rajon Rondo. He's pulled down five boards, but he's also got five fouls, one of which came immediately after that oop.
Third quarter, 10:58, Celtics 50, Raptors 43: Glen Davis is done for the night with a nose contusion.
Halftime:Nate Robinson and Delonte West are a dangerous pair. They shot a combined 4 of 7 and Robinson drained a pair of 3s. Glen Davis went down early in the quarter after a collision in the paint. He had his nose stuffed with cotton and left the bench to go to the locker room.
End of first quarter, Celtics 21, Raptors 16: Jermaine O'Neal played six first-quarter minutes, pulling down a couple rebounds and picking up a foul. After starting off 8 of 12, the Celtics didn't make another shot from the floor.
First quarter, 6:25, Celtics 15, Raptors 7: Kevin Garnett just finished a fastbreak with a lay-up off a Rajon Rondo pass. The Celtics scored 10 of their first 16 points off Raptors turnovers. The shooting percentages (Boston 8 of 12, Toronto 2 of 7) couldn't be more opposite.
