Kendrick Perkins was among 27 NBA players selected to the USA Basketball national team roster today. The players chosen will be candidates for this summer's world championships and the 2012 Olympics in London.

The players returning from Team USA's last gold medal squad are Chris Bosh, Chris Paul, Dwight Howard, Carmelo Anthony, Deron Williams and Carlos Boozer. Noticeably absent from the list of 27 players is Celtics point guard Rajon Rondo, who was named an NBA All-Star for the first time this season. In addition to Paul and Williams, the other point guards on the team include Derrick Rose, Russell Westbrook, and Chauncey Billups.

You can view the complete roster, which has not been finalized, here.
