Bill Duffy, the agent for Celtics guard Rajon Rondo, met with Celtics general manager Danny Ainge Monday as the two sides make a last-ditch attempt to hammer out a deal before the Oct. 31 deadline. An NBA source said the two sides scheduled a Monday meeting but it wasn't certain whether it was pushed back because of the Glen "Big Baby" Davis injury situation.

Rondo can signed a three-year to five-year extension on his contract. If the two sides do not agree to a deal, the point guard will be a resticted free agent at season's end, meaning the Celtics could match any offer sheet from another club, but it leaves him exposed to other teams.
