Kevin Garnett took another step forward in his recovery from knee surgery during Monday's practice.
"He took a lob and dunked it -- it was an amazing dunk," Celtics coach Doc Rivers said of Garnett. "Everybody said, 'we haven't seen that.' "
Garnett went the distance in an hour-and-a-half practice, during which "we worked them hard," Rivers said. Garnett has struggled to convert alley-oops during exhibition games. This time, though, he punctuated the shot by saying, "Oh, I can do it," according to Rivers.
"I think Doc's been waiting for me to grow wings and fly," Garnett said. "Just tell him to be patient, the wings are coming."
