A few tidbits from this afternoon's session:

The theme during an interview with the Big Three was numerous variations on the question, "How do you guys stay hungry now that you've won it all?"

Ray Allen said nothing had changed in his preparation (of course), but the best answer may have come from Kevin Garnett.

"We're eager," said Garnett. "When you taste something one time, you want to taste it again."

  • Garnett, Allen, and Paul Pierce all looked decidedly skinnier and less muscular than when we last saw them in June. Rajon Rondo, on the other hand, looks positively jacked.

  • As of today, P.J. Brown maintains he is retired, meaning he has no current plans to join the team this season. But the Big Three talked to Brown on the team's visit to the White House and put a few nuggets in his ear about coming back.

"It's really up to him," said Pierce. "P.J. retired last year (before joining the Celtics), and we had to beg him to come back. He accomplished his goal last year."

However, Allen said he wouldn't rule out Brown making a decision to join the Celtics midway through the season for another postseason run.

  • Doc Rivers on the pressure his team has to repeat:

"We were on the cover of every magazine last year, before we had even done anything. And I hated that. The pressure [this season] is no different to me. It's a good pressure. It's the pressure you probably want."

  • To be clear, the Celtics have not yet received their championship rings.

"I hated to disappoint people [who he saw over the summer], because I'll probably never see them again," said Allen. "But I don't have it."
