HOUSTON — Celtics forward Kevin Garnett reacted after Tuesday night’s 94-74 victory over Houston, which ended the Rockets’ 22-game win streak, to comments by Timberwolves owner Glen Taylor accusing Garnett of ‘‘tanking’’ the last five games of the 2006-07 season.

TNT reporter David Aldridge asked Garnett at courtside about Taylor’s remarks. ‘‘I’m in Boston, I could care less what Glen Taylor [says] right now,’’ said Garnett. ‘‘That’s nonsense.’’

Taylor had been asked by the media earlier in the day about the Wolves having a reputation for tanking games in recent seasons to aid their draft chances. Garnett missed the last five games last season with a sore right quadriceps, but Taylor questioned that.

‘‘It was more like, I’d say, KG tanked it,’’ Taylor said. ‘‘The other guys still wanted to play, but it sure changed the team and didn’t make us as [good].’’
