The Celtics practiced today in Philly but they didn't have any new faces on the floor, as in Allen Iverson, the Sixers guard who is on the trading block.

The buzz around the league was that the Clippers were moving into the lead in the Iverson Derby. The Celtics were on the outside, in part, because the word was the price would be too high.

A side benefit to all the trade talk for the Celtics is the recent play of Al Jefferson, who said he has been motivated by seeing his name in the trade rumors. He doesn't want Boston to send him anywhere.

More on Al in Wednesday's Globe.
