Jared Sullinger was the Celtics’ rock earlier this season, their most consistent and reliable player inside or out, which was saying something considering the team was a patchwork of new pieces, most in unfamiliar roles.
But Sullinger was steady. Though undersized at 6-foot-9, the second-year forward gobbled up rebounds, including grabbing 17 in a loss at San Antonio. He piled up points, too, scoring 15 or more in 12 games of his first 27 games.
