LaToya Thomas had a season-high 23 points and Agnieszka Bibrzycka a career-high 19 in pacing the Silver Stars to a 78-67 victory over the Connecticut Sun in San Antonio.

The Silver Stars opened the second half on a 20-6 run and took a 23-point lead, 59-36, with 12:33 left in the game. Both Thomas and Bibrzycka had 6 points in the run.

Mystics 68, Sting 54 -- Chamique Holdsclaw scored 19 points to help host Washington avenge last week's loss to Charlotte.

The Sting entered the game atop the Eastern Conference standings, but struggled.

Storm 66, Monarchs 63 -- Lauren Jackson had 18 points and six rebounds, and Sue Bird scored 14 points in Seattle's victory in Sacramento.

Lynx 69, Liberty 66 -- Katie Smith scored 7 of her 12 points over the final two minutes to help Minnesota beat the Liberty in New York.

Comets 97, Shock 61 -- Tina Thompson scored 21 of her 33 points in the first half in Houston as the Comets ended a five-game losing streak by routing Detroit.
