Steroid-era confessions and denials
Lance ArmstrongArmstrong confessed to using PEDs during an interview with Oprah Winfrey in January. Armstrong was stripped of seven Tour de France titles following a 1,000-plus-pages report in October released by the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency, in which USADA chief executive Travis Tygart said the cyclist led the most sophisticated, professionalized and successful doping program that sport has ever seen. Armstrong was banned from competition for life as a result of the report. The 41-year-old Armstrong answered yes when asked by Windrey if he used banned substances during competition and in all seven Tour wins. The disgraced cyclist hopes to return to competition in recognized triathlon events.
