Orlando Cabrera2B, retired
The free-swinging but productive shortstop took his steady glove (and all those creative handshakes) to the Angels after the Sox' 2004 title run. After a series of moves, Cabrera was picked up by the Reds and provided a veteran presence and an excellent glove for a first-place team in 2010. The Reds opted not to exercise his pricey option and he joined the Indians. With All-Star Asdrubal Cabrera at shortstop, Orlando moved to second base and hit .247 with four homers and 34 RBIs before the All-Star break. Traded to the Giants at the July 31 deadline, he finished the season hitting .238 in 130 games. He retired in January.
