How did it happen?
So what's been the problem for the Sox? Injuries, for starters. On June 5, Jacoby Ellsbury sprained his wrist making an outfield catch against the Rays. He was limited to pinch-running duty in the Seattle series that followed, but he hit safely in six games after returning to the lineup. But Ellsbury has hit .191 to close out the month, raising questions about lingering effects from the injury.
