FORT MYERS, Fla. Kudos to Boston College and coach Mike Gambino. Despite not using any of their front-line pitchers, the Eagles held the Red Sox to seven hits and handled themselves well in a 6-3 loss.

"BC looked good. Mike has them schooled well. I talked to him after the game today," Bobby Valentine said "A couple of little mistakes, otherwise they might have been able to beat us."

BC is 6-2 and plays Florida Gulf Coast tomorrow. The Eagles are a team to keep an eye on in the ACC.
