Chuck Korb from the Sons of Sam Horn message board has put together a terrific event to benefit the Jimmy Fund on May 21 and 22 at Harvard.

"Sabermetrics, Scouting and the Science of Baseball" will feature a distinguished panel of experts including Red Sox director of baseball information services Tom Tippett and assistant professional scouting director Jared Porter.

Groundbreaking analyst Mitchel Lichtman will be on hand along with Andy Andres,
Jonah Keri, Dan Brooks, Alan Nathan, Jeremy Greenhouse, David Gassko, David Sheinberg, Michael Richmond, and Kevin Goldstein.

It is a very accomplished group of speakers.

(I would be remiss not to mention that Jonah has an excellent new book out.)

Register at SaberSeminar.com. Only 160 seats are available to this event and they are going fast. Tickets for the weekend seminar are $120, with a discounted pass of $75 available to full-time students. Every penny will go to The Jimmy Fund.

This seminar is part of a year-long fund-raising effort for The Jimmy Fund by the Sons of Sam Horn. For more information on SoSH and that effort, visit sonsofsamhorn.net.
