FORT MYERS, Fla. -- On a windy and warm afternoon at the Forest Country Club, Red Sox players hit the links for the 18th annual Southwest Florida Children’s Hospital celebrity tournament. The tourney raises awareness and funds to support the hospital.

Red Sox players were joined by manager front office staff, Jim Rice and Luis Tiant as well as NESN personality Heidi Watney.

In the video above, we caught up with Rice, El Tiante, Jon Lester, Clay Buchholz, Josh Beckett, John Lackey, Red Sox pitching coach Curt Young, and president of Giant Glass Dennis Drinkwater as they teed off for a great cause on Friday.

Daniel Bard's team took home the winning trophy this year. Last year's charity scramble was won by Daisuke Matsuzaka's team.

In other Red Sox golf news, Kevin Youkilis walked out of the player development complex a proud man, with the Second Base Cup trophy cradled in his arm. Youkilis won a closest-to-the-bag golf competition on NESN’s spring training show, besting Jon Lester (6 feet 6 inches) when he cozied up a wedge to within 5 feet 2 inches.
