Ranaudo throws six no-hit innings
Anthony Ranaudo did it again today.
The Red Sox draft pick threw six no-hit innings for Brewster in the Cape Cod League. He waked four and struck out six against Harwich.
Here is Ranaudo's line through four starts:
23.2 innings
7 hits
1 run
0 earned runs
7 walks
22 strikeouts
The Sox retain his rights through mid-August. Ranaudo would then have the option of returning to LSU or playing in an independent league before the 2011 draft. The 39th overall pick, he is said to be seeking a contract befitting one of the top 10 picks in the draft.
Based on what he has done on the Cape so far, Ranaudo is proving his point.

In other Sox-related news, Jed Lowrie is playing shortstop for Lowell tonight. He is 0 for 1 with a walk so far against Jamestown.
One of the Jamestown players is named Sequoyah Stonecipher. Just thought I'd mention that.
