The lefty is here and starts tomorrow. Clay Buchholz was placed on the 15-day disabled list. The plan is for him to pitch one of the first games after the All-Star break.

The addition of Buchholz gives the Red Sox 11 players on the disabled list.

In terms of other news:

* Josh Beckett will throw in the Gulf Coast League tomorrow, 50 pitches in Sarasota at noon. If the game is rained out, he'll get his work in at Tropicana Field at 2:30 p.m. against the GCL Sox.

* Mike Lowell is not on the trip, having been given permission to go home for a few day. It's not clear whether he'll go to Toronto.
