The Nomar Garciaparra ceremony is under way here.

John Henry, Tom Werner and Larry Lucchino are on the field with Johnny Pesky and Garciaparra's family.

He was given two Fenway Park seats and a commemorative watch. Nomar then briefly addressed the crowd, thanking them and saying he loved them. The crowd responded with a nice ovation. Now there's a highlight video playing.

Several former teammates are being introduced and are going out on the field to embrace Garciaparra. Along with the current players, Lou Merloni, Brian Daubach and Trot Nixon also are here. Nixon got a bigger cheer than Nomar did.

Garciaparra just threw out the first pitch to Jason Varitek.

The text of Nomar's speech:

"First of all, I can't think the Red Sox organization enough for having a day and bringing me back here where I belong. I have so many great friends here in that dugout that you cheer for every day. ... I get to tell a Nation and my family thank you and I love you."
