Greetings from the Mats Sundin International Airport here in Toronto. We're waiting for a flight to Baltimore on Air Canada. There can't possibly be 268 gates here, but that's what the boarding card says.
As a Mets writer back in the day, I once was tardy getting to the airport in Montreal and nearly missed a flight back home. So now I get to the airport in Toronto ridiculously early every time just to make sure. Today, fortunately, was painless.
The Red Sox are off today and I think most of the media crew will be going right to Baltimore. We'll all have stories to do. The players get a day off and the guys are pretty much free to do what they want. J.D. Drew said he was taking his kids to D.C. to check out some museums. The Inner Harbor in Baltimore is a nice spot to walk around.
Red Sox fans will invade Camden Yards as they usually do. If not for the Red Sox and Yankees, Baltimore might have the worst attendance in the game. It's kind of sad given that the Orioles were once the flagship franchise of the American League.
Not much else to report from here. I'll try and blog some more once I get to Baltimore. It's a rare quiet night for Boston sports. What's everybody going to do?
