Clay Buchholz has a problem a lot of us wish we had: He can't gain weight.
But he did manage to pack on 13 pounds this winter and has already thrown seven times off the mound including three sessions of live batting practice. That's a lot for this time of the year.
The young righthander said Tim Wakefield should get the benefit of the doubt when the team puts together the rotation. But he made it clear that he is here to win a job out of camp.
"I'm trying to build off last year," he said.
In other news, Josh Beckett just arrived with an equipment bag in hand. He spent the weekend at the Daytona 500.
