MINNEAPOLIS - Bases loaded nobody out. Result: one run.
Twins starter Nick Blackburn hit both Jacoby Ellsbury and Dustin Pedroia with pitches to start the third and David Ortiz saw his line drive to right field misplayed by Michael Cuddyer, though it was scored a hit.
Kevin Youkilis lined out to third base before Mike Lowell hit a linedrive to right field on which Cuddyer made a strong throw to the plate, but too late to get Ellsbury. J.D. Drew ended the inning with a liner to shortstop.
Ellsbury took Blackburn's pitch off the right knee while squaring to bunt and was in pain for a few moments, but he shook it off and remained in the game.
It's 5-1 Twins.
