I'd give us an F, but we at least got the pregame stuff up in a timely fashion.

I have to apologize on behalf of myself and Gordo for the lack of in-game updates during today's game. We're both writing tonight, which means our editors want us to actually make deadlines. We're trying...

As for the game, Jacoby Ellsbury is trying his best to add a cycle to the history that was already made in Fenway Park this week. Ellsbury started the Red Sox scoring off with his second home run of the season (which he did in 30 at bats, after also hitting two home runs in the minor leagues, in 436 at bats). That reached the Red Sox bullpen for a two-run shot in the fourth inning.

And then, in the sixth, Ellsbury hit a triple that bounced just before the bullpen wall in right field. (He can certainly motor.) He already hit a single in his first trip to the plate.

That leaves him a double short. Keep watching...
