With the combination of the Red Sox win -- 6-4, over the Twins -- and the Indians loss -- 4-3, to the Royals -- the Red Sox have clinched the best record in the American League. (That is because they hold the tiebreaker over Cleveland.) Boston now has the choice of whether they want to start on Wednesday or Thursday in their five-game ALDS with the Angels.

The decision needs to be made tonight, so we'll update you with the choice.
