NL Central preview

Chicago Cubs Too many question marks to think the Cubs could emerge as surprise division winners. The back of the bullpen (Carlos Marmol, Kerry Wood, and Sean Marshall) is strong. Carlos Zambrano was solid all spring and Aramis Ramirez came to camp in shape and worked with hitting guru Rudy Jaramillo. But it’s a thin roster with some easy outs like Carlos Pena and only Matt Garza and Ryan Dempster seem like top-of-the-line starters. The Cubs also have a shaky defense. Roster Schedule Statistics
