■Orioles left fielder Luke Scott is probably done for the season, or at best headed for an extended stay on the disabled list because of a torn labrum in his right shoulder. He had tried to play through the injury, going 0 for 3 last night.

■All-Star third baseman Adrian Beltre left the Rangers’ game in the fifth inning after straining his left hamstring running the bases.

■Shortstop Alcides Escobar, the only Royals player to appear in all 99 games this season, left in the sixth inning because of a bruised right shin suffered trying to turn a double play. He is day to day.

■All-Star left fielder Ryan Braun was out of the Brewers’ starting lineup to rest his lingering left calf strain.

■The Braves’ Dan Uggla hit his 18th homer of the season, extending his hitting streak to a career-high 13 games.

Aramis Ramirez hit his 231st homer with the Cubs, tying Gabby Hartnett for sixth on the club’s career list.

■Padres second baseman Orlando Hudson was with the team a day after a collision with a wall briefly knocked him unconscious. Hudson said he had a slight headache and shoulder soreness, and he’s expected to miss a few games.
