Officials at Nixon Peabody LLP say Scott Brown, who has been exploring a run for US Senate in New Hampshire, is no longer working for the law firm.
The news of Brown’s departure from the firm’s Boston office was confirmed both by the firm and by an aide to the former Massachusetts senator.
“We enjoyed having Scott as a member of our team. We wish him all the best in his future endeavors,” Andrew Glincher, the firm’s CEO and managing partner said in a statement.
Allison McClain, a Nixon Peabody spokeswoman, reiterated that Brown is no longer working at the firm.
Reached on his cell phone, Brown refused to comment.
“I’m not going to confirm anything regarding my personal life,” he said.
A Republican, Brown has been exploring a run against US Senator Jeanne Shaheen, a Democrat. He is widely expected to soon make his bid official.
