Master Sergeant Richard L. Ferguson, 45, Conway, N.H.
Ferguson died March 30, 2004, when his vehicle rolled over in Samarra. He grew up in Coventry, R.I., where his father still lives. He left his wife, Marianne, three young sons, and a 23-year-old daughter. Family members say he had come to terms with the dangers of the job he loved. His missions were often secret. "When he came home, he laughed, he joked, he went camping with the kids, he went on trips, he worked around the house," said his father.
