French writer Tristane Banon has decided not to pursue a private criminal action against Dominique Strauss-Kahn over allegations he assaulted her in 2003. Paris prosecutors said Oct. 13, when they dropped an inquiry into Banon’s attempted rape claim, that they could have pursued a sexual-assault investigation had it not been for a three-year statute of limitations on the charge.
