9.0-magnitude earthquake strikes Japan

It has been one week since a tsunami spawned by a 9.0-magnitude earthquake in Japan swept away boats, cars, homes, and people and triggered nuclear power plant explosions that heightened fears of radiation. The death toll on Thursday reached more than 4,300, and more than 8,000 are missing, Japans National Police Agency said.
