Cronut inventor Dominique Ansel debuts chocolate chip cookie shot glasses
The inventor of the cronut -- croissant meets donut -- has made the next best thing.
Introducing, the chocolate chip shot glass, which has elevated milk and cookies to a whole new level. NYC chef extraordinaire Dominique Ansel created these delights to be offered at the annual arts conference SXSW.
The French chef drew his inspiration after eating an Oreo and feeling the need to dip it in milk, he told the food website Eater. Milk with cookies is not common in French culture but "if everyone was drinking milk with cookies, you might as well make a dessert that allows them both to be combined," he said.
Don't be concerned the cookies will go mushy. Ansel said his cookie recipe stays crispy for the most part where the milk is held.
Still, we recommend taking that shot of milk before you eat to avoid any spills.
