Former Massachusetts Senator Scott Brown, who has positioned himself for a Senate run in New Hampshire, made the front page of the New Hampshire Union Leader this weekend shirtless as he took part part in the 15th annual Penguin Plunge to benefit the state's Special Olympics.
Brown was a member of Buckley's Frozen Seamen team, said Gretlyl Macalaster, the Union Leader correspondent who took the photos of Brown.
A traditional polar plunge consists of a quick run in and out of the freezing waters. Brown apparently broke the rules by continuing into the frozen waters and had to be directed out by one of the lifeguards on duty, said Macalaster. It was unclear why the "Frozen Seamen" team member wanted to swim farther and faster than his other mates.
A longtime Rye, NH, resident, Brown sold his primary home in Wrentham, Mass., in December and moved to the Granite State in an reported strategic move to resurrect his political career.
Perhaps a modeling career comeback is also in the works?
